Andy is the lead consultant for our Building Regulation Consultancy service. As a Chartered Building Control professional he is a member of the RICS and having undertaken his competency exam with the Building Safety Competence Foundation, he is a registered Building Inspector with the Building Safety Regulator.

Andy has worked in the public and private sector Building Control systems for 37 years. He has a wealth of technical knowledge on a varied portfolio of projects involving new builds, listed buildings, change of use and fit out works, particularly in regards assessment of Building Regulation design information and site inspections. This provides a great incite of practical problems and solutions that have been experienced in the past.

Over his career he has worked on major developments at the University of Bath and Bristol, the redevelopment of Bath City centre and numerous complex Office, educational, student accommodation, mixed used developments, industrial and residential schemes. His expertise and knowledge have proved invaluable on projects up to the value of £150million.

Andy prides himself on collaborative working and has excellent communication
skills both verbal and written. As a team player he works well within any design or construction team, and is focused on supporting design team members by delivering consistent high-quality advice. He has an excellent working knowledge of the statutory legislation, as well as the technical guidance in the Approved Documents and associated legislation. His project management and organisational skills are to a high standard which benefits any type of construction project to ensure compliance with the functional requirements of the regulations.
