A new guidance note has been released by the Industry Competence Committee (ICC), a statutory body associated with the GB Health and Safety Executive, aimed at supporting Registered Building Inspectors (RBIs) in adhering to the Regulator’s Code while advising on compliance.
The guidance provides crucial suggestions on how RBIs can frame their building control advice without it being mistaken by duty holders as “design advice.”
